Recommended: Pinch Media’s ‘AppStore Secrets’ Presentation

Pinch Media do lots of great analysis of the iPhone App Store, and also provide some nifty RSS feeds to track new apps and similar.

They’ve got a great post up, where you can view their recently-given presentation titled ‘AppStore Secrets’. It’s packed with juicy information on ‘what we’ve learned from 30,000,000 downloads’. Things like:

What it takes to get into one of the Top 25 or Top 100 apps lists – and how it has become increasingly difficult over recent months
How severe a drop-off there is in the usage of an app as days pass after it is purchased
Which categories of apps have a little more enduring appeal than others
How challenging it is for an ad-supported app to succeed

And lots more good and in-depth stuff.
