Blathering on About iPhones

I’ve been a Windows Mobile user for years. A lot of years.  Since the days when Compaq Aeros were hot new devices! I’m still a user and a big believer in Windows Mobile, still have a trusty Cingular 8525 and a stalwart Dell Axim X51V .

I even run a mobile site – Just Another Mobile Monday – that devotes a lot of its focus to Windows Mobile devices and software. mainscreen1

But … I got an iPhone a little while back and was instantly gripped by it.  This is easily, by a long , long way the best PDA / Smartphone type device I’ve ever owned. The pleasure of using it is even greater than I expected when taking in all the iPhone ads and hype leading up to its launch.

Just about everything that is lame or frustrating about using Windows Mobile, is done so much better on the iPhone – the slick and simple UI, built-in multimedia capabilities, and of course the REAL freakin browser.

I also feel excited about using the iPhone each day, and discovering new tricks, new apps, new ways to enjoy it and get the most out of it. I started this blog site in order to share some of those experiences and to have a place to blather on happily about all things iPhone related.

Cheers …
