iPXSync – Beta Service Offers Exchange Sync for iPhone

ipxsync1

iPXSync provides iPhone users with real-time mobile access to all of their critical Microsoft Exchange Server information including email, message folders, calenders and tasks.

iPXSync is set to provide an Exchange sync service for iPhone users. The service is currently in Beta and due to go live next month.

The service sounds attractive if you need to have Exchange support, with features promised that include:

  • Ability to work with any Exchange server that allows OWA access (including Hosted Exchange accounts)
  • Zero-installation solution that requires no special software, hardware or configuration changes on the Exchange Server
  • Sync folders, calendar, tasks
  • Full two-way sync – delete an item on the iPhone and it is removed from the Exchange server as well
  • Remote purge of synced data if iPhone is lost or stolen

There’s a good FAQ section at the iPXSync site, covering cost of the service (probably from under $5 per month for a personal account), questions on security and whether your IT department needs to do anything to make this work etc.
