Old Firmware Phones Still in Stock at Apple and AT&T Stores

iPhone Atlas is reporting that the iPhone models being sold at  ‘most’ Apple and AT&T stores still have the ‘old’ 1.0.x firmware on them, per reports from their readers.

So if you’re thinking of getting an iPhone, and don’t want it hamstrung in terms of lack of ability (for now) to run 3rd party programs or to be unlocked for use on a ciphonebannerarrier of your choice, this is a good time to check out your local AT&T or Apple store and see if you can grab a 1.0.x firmware model.  See This Post if you need a quick run-through of the pros and cons of the latest 1.1.1 update.
