Jeez, Nokia’s advertising gurus don’t have to brainstorm too hard for campaign ideas these days I guess. They just wait around for Apple’s latest iPhone-related PR debacle and then dive in with both feet.
Witness the ad above, which is pretty much hitting a way-too-closed OS right where it hurts. And they’d previously run a Google context ad hitting up iPhone users ticked off with the price cut.
I don’t know though – I’ve never been a Symbian user but my impression is that there is still a dearth of quality apps for the platform in many areas, especially as compared to Palm and Windows Mobile. If so, it’s even more of a cheeky tagline to go with.
