New Services App – Disable Edge, Turn Off Bluetooth, WiFi, and SSH

This is the new iPhone application called Services, from cehoffman. It looks like a very good idea!

Currently the application supports turning on/off Edge, Bluetooth, Wifi, and OpenSSH. That last one is possibly the most interesting, as it makes it very simple (and far less dangerous) for all of us ‘average’ users to toggle SSH on and off. Turning SSH off when not in use can be a huge help on battery drain issues, as mentioned in Brandon’s post on 3rd Party Apps Battery Life Woes No More.

Services is available now via Installer (it’s down towards the bottom, under the ‘Utilities’ section).

For more background, you can also see This Thread at the Hackint0sh Forums.

    Hi,
Unfortunately Services isn’t available for Firmware 2.0 yet. Here’s a workaround until it then.
