New: iPhoneSlide – Easily Share Photos to Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and More

iPhoneSlide4

iPhoneSlide is a slick new web application and service that helps you easily upload photos to a number of popular social / sharing, and blogging sites.

Right now it has support for uploading to: Flickr, Twitter, Facebook, WordPress.com, Bogger, and Typepad.

The process for using iPhoneSlide is extremely simple and worked very well when I tried it out. You start by opening a photo you want to shiPhoneSlideTableare, and emailing it to the iPhoneSlide posting address. You then receive a confirmation email (mine always came just about instantly) and click the link provided to go to a page where you simply select which places  you want to upload to. Naturally, first time around you’ll need to provide your credentials for the site you choose to share to. In the case of Facebook, you’ll have to agree to install the iPhoneSlide application and allow it rights to upload photos.

If you’re using this for blogging purposes, the email subject serves as your blog post title, and the email body is your post’s text. Unfortunately, there is not support for hosted WordPress blogs as yet.

I like this program. Although there are other apps out there that will help you upload photos to single locations (like Flickr and Picasa) it is nice to see one that is looking to provide a one-stop shop for sharing to quite a few popular sharing / blogging platforms.

This will be even more attractive if iPhoneSlide keeps adding more locations that you can share to – Picasa and WordPress hosted sites would appeal to me straight away.
