Tidbits from An iPhone Connected World
Well, it has been a weekend of waiting. Patience may be a virtue but it isn’t a lot of fun.
1. Google … Waiting for some IMAP Love …
The announcement last week that Google was adding IMAP support for Gmail was welcome news to those of us using Gmail on our iPhones. As a lo
ng time MS Exchange user, relying on pop email has been an unwelcome, but necessary, compromise. Having IMAP support will make a world of difference… when it finally happens for me. Google imm ediately put out word that rolling out IMAP support would take anywhere from a few days to a week. So every day I check… and every day I wait. Come on Google… Pretty please… ”
2. A Leopard’s Journey …
My copy of Leopard shipped from Amazon on Friday and will arrive tomorrow.
Got to love those weekday only deliveries! I can’t wait to install it and see what, if any, impact Leopard has on my iPhone experience. It is too bad that notes syncing is not there yet.
Having struggled with installing Vista on my desktop and tablet pc last January (and ultimately returning to XP– arggggh!!!) I’m also looking forward to comparing the differences between the two experiences.
Hmmmmm– not hard to predict what it will most likely be.
Time will tell … and fortunately the time is sometime tomorrow.
