Unlimited Data Now Really DOES Mean Unlimited – 02 Ditches Fair Usage Limits

Here’s some very good news for UK iPhone fans – O2 has decided to make ‘Unlimited Data’ really mean unlimited on their iPhone data plans!

They’re scrapping their ‘fair usage’ policy which had previously set a (absurdly low) cap of 200mb per month.

”Customers find ‘unlimited with limits’ confusing, plus most people don’t speak in megabits or understand what they equate to," said O2 UK chief executive Matthew Key.

”So we’ve taken the decision to remove the fair usage cap so that ‘unlimited’ really does mean ‘unlimited’ …

Very nice move – and one that should help boost the number of iPhone buyers right off the bat I would think.  With this move, and 7,500 hotspots to use for free, I’d like to sign up for O2 🙂
