A good RSS reader just got a whole lot better.

Surprise Surprise….googreaderscreen2

Google’s various applications have been an absolute blessing to my iPhone use. From Gmail to Google calender, Google’s apps make it easier and more productive to use the iPhone as my “go-to-gadget”.

Of all of Google’s apps, however, perhaps the most useful is Google Reader, the RSS reader I use on both my IPhone and my computers. So imagine my surprise when I fired up the familiar web app only to be greeted by an unfamiliar UI. Yep, overnight Google updated its iPhone optimized reader.

The interface is now easier to read, the colors are more pleasant (imo), and it feels far faster than before. A good RSS reader just got a whole lot better.

If you haven’t tried it before it is worth a look.

I am liking this update a lot as well. The colors are a little gentler and I like having some of the main nav links moved up to the top of the page. Very nice update.
