iTablet – Will the Apple Tablet Computer Become Reality?

The iTablet - Will it Become Reality? From all reports I’ve read, yes.

Over the last few days I’ve spent some time scouring and reading all I can on the so-called tablet, or ‘iTablet’ computer that Apple is supposed to have in the works. All accounts bring to light that the iTablet will be a reality, and that it might be shipping as early as January 2008.

In fact, our friends at PhoneDifferent received a tip from an employee at Asus (the company that builds most of Apple’s laptops). The tip confirmed that production of the iTablet is well underway. If the OS does indeed function like the iPhone (and why wouldn’t it?) I could see the iTablet being very useful. With keys and controls that change depending on the application, and the touch-screen controls (finger flicking, pinching, etc.), this one might be worth a look.

It’s still to early to say though. I’ll keep an eye on this as news comes in. One thing is for sure though, Apple won’t release a tablet computer unless it is unlike anything else out on the market today. They won’t want to be ‘another tablet’ I can guarantee that.
