Using the Dock With Keyboard Shortcuts

Here’s a keyboard shortcut that is sure to boost your productivity. It allows you to jump right over to the dock to open or close applications.

  1. To jump to the dock use ‘ctrl+F3’.
  2. Now with the dock selected, use the right/left arrows to navigate between apps.
  3. Hit ‘Enter’ to open an app.
  4. Hit the ‘Up’ arrow when a previously opened app is selected. This will give you a submenu of choices including ‘quit’.
  5. To exit the dock, simply hit ‘ctrl+F3’ or the escape key.
