After Vodafone’s recent legal action aimed at preventing T-Mobile from having the exclusive on selling iPhones in Germany (and an initial court ruling in their favor) T-Mobile has responded by saying it will sell an unlocked version of the iPhone as well.
This will be the first ‘official’ unlocked version of the iPhone – and it will be priced at a whopping €999 (just shy of $1,500 at today’s exchange rates) – as compared to €399 for the iPhone with contract.
I can’t see too many folks stumping that sort of money – so that price should be good news for vendors of unlocking software.
