After Apple spent so much time and energy touting the iPhone as a better bang for the buck compared to other smart phones, and coming in at a lesser price than most, they are now the highest priced smart phone compared to what is on the market.

Its a matter of time before the iPhone reaches Canada, and with the trend of data plan prices dropping on CDMA networks here, its only a matter of time before Rogers (our only GSM provider) drops their rates as well. Once that happens they will be in line with the price points Apple has with the US mobile market. However, given what I”ve seen happening in Germany, I can already see the possibility of the same happening in Canada. Chances are I’m going to drive across the border and buy an iPhone from a US Apple Store and hack it to work on Rogers at which point I should have all the benefits since Rogers is the only runner for the iPhone in Canada.

Like I keep hearing on podcasts, get in bed with the devil…. I’m sorry to see Apple evolving into a demon when they once were our guiding lights.
