Battleship – the classic game of finding and destroying your opponent’s ships – now has a live online version for iPhone – where you can play against other real live folks on the other side of your virtual board.
This is being touted as the first P2P game for iPhone. To play, you just set your ship placement and then wait for an opponent. The site allows you to use chat – so trash talking and whining when you get beat is possible, and you can also setup Private games if you want to take on a friend rather than trying your luck against the masses.
This new live version of Battleship sounds great. I gave it a quick look (and completed the required free registration) earlier – but didn’t get a game yet as it sat there too long waiting to find an opponent.
I’m hoping for better luck – and some serious shop-sinking carnage – later on. 🙂
