The ‘ubiquitous’ iPhone is now in England, Germany and France… and is spreading fast around the world. I also wanted to get one when it was released, but as an Alaskan resident, I was disappointed to know that we would not be able to get an iPhone after all.
It sounded funny to me that it was being released abroad whereas places here at home, like Vermont and Alaska were not getting the chance. Rumors say that Alaskans will get the chance to own an iPhone after December 9th, 2007. Thanks to the combination of AT&T and CellularOne from the Dobson group, the AT&T wireless will be able to reach more “remote” places in the US. According to the AT&T website, “AT&T will be selling the Apple iPhone in select areas during the holidays”.
It seems that Alaskans will not be left out in the cold after all!
