Firstly on individual feed items if you click the little globe icon in the upper right hand corner, it will take you to the feed item in Safari.

Secondly, I am working on an update that will update the individual feed item view and will allow for better item viewing, including better scrolling, better image support, and working links within the post. I hope to have this update ready by the end of the week.
