Download Videos In a Flash With Videobox 2.3 (beta)

Download Videos in a Flash with Videobox 2.3 Beta I just ran across a big update to a great application, Videobox 2.3 beta (formerly known as FLVR).

Videobox is a very easy way to quickly download videos and convert them to Quicktime format. Then you can put it on your iPod , save it to your computer, or do anything else.

This version has many differences compared to FLVR. The most noticeable difference is that it is no longer a simple Safari plugin, which used to reside in the Safari toolbar… it is now a full application. The fact that it is an application will help attract many more users, because now you can use whichever web browser you want.

Videobox supports lots of websites too, not just Youtube.

To use Videobox you can just drag a web URL to the Videobox window and then it will find the videos on that website and display them in the window. Then you just click the Download icon next to the videos you want or the X to remove videos from the list. If you have the optional Safari plugin installed it will automatically add videos to the list when you are at a website with a compatible movie.

Personally, I feel that Videobox seems to be the best Flash to iTunes downloader. It does everything in one simple package and supports a variety of websites.

You can head over to Tasty Apps and try out the demo for 5 days. If you are pleased with what you see, then you can currently preorder the full version for $8, and start using the beta today. If you would like to wait for the full version to be released then you have to pay $15.
