That’s the Sound Machine ‘deluxe’ iPhone audio docking station, due to be launched next month by Jibe Audio. Jibe Audio are a new company, but they’ve had the upcoming dock designed in part by a former Apple design chief during the years of Newtons and the first Powerbooks (Robert Brunner).
The Sound Machine’s features sound very, very nice – it’s said to include: "a connector to charge, play, and (through USB) sync the iPhone but brings Bluetooth audio support: even when physically detached, the Sound Machine will serve as a speakerphone for the iPhone and any other handset with hands-free support."
That would make for one heck of a cool dock, and it looks pretty sharp too – although the iphone is sort of swimming in its hugeness in the photo.
No word on what the Sound Machine will cost yet – supposedly we’ll hear all about that at the CES show next month.
Would we like a review unit = oh yes, please 🙂
