iPhoneRingtoneMaker – one of the leading Windows-based solutions for getting custom ringtones onto your iPhone – has been updated to Version 2.0 today.

The new version offers a few new features – the two main additions are Ringtone Shuffling and Volume Boosting:

With Ringtone Shuffling, users with many ringtones on their iPhone can now enjoy the random playing of any of these favorite ringtones.

The Volume Boosting feature helps some mp3 files sound louder on the iPhone by applying digital amplification to any desired level. iPhoneRingToneMaker 2.0 is a free update to all existing customers.

I’ve used iPhoneRingToneMaker for quite a while, like it, and will post a review soon.  So I’ve installed the new version today.  I *think* the volume on ringtones is a bit stronger, but that’s just a quick impression.  The new Shuffle feature for me was a little disappointing – as I thought it would mean being able to shuffle all your ringtones created by iPhoneRingToneMaker easily, so they randomly shuffled on each call or similar.  In fact what it does is shuffle them each time you sync with iTunes, and I hardly ever do that these days.

You can get all the info on iPhoneRingToneMaker, and a trial download (Windows only) at:
