Ahhh … To See the World Through Vista Colored Glasses …

I am a long-time reader of the excellent magazine “Smartphone and PocketPC“. It is a “must read” for every Windows Mobile user.

In the most recent edition Nathan Clevenger offers a brief analysis of “Alternatives to Windows Mobile”. It is an excellent example of the subjective nature of life – or, to put it another way, boy oh boy do wnorthamericamarketsharecharte human beings have a talent for creating and believing our own reality regardless of the facts.

He writes…. “A lot of hype was associated with the launch and initial rapid adoption of the iPhone. It remains to be seen how far that momentum will carry it in overall market share.”

Yep, time will tell… time will tell… time will… oh, what’s that you say? Time has already told? That was fast…

No wonder AT&T stores are planning to be open for extended hours on December 26th to help all those who receive an extra special gift from Santa this year.

If anyone has Mr. Clevenger’s email address please forward him this link: iPhone Lapping The Field in North America

However, I must agree with Mr. Clevenger when he later writes, “In many ways, the iPhone does not directly compete with Windows Mobile.” The marketplace has already shown him to be absolutely correct– unless you absolutely, positively must have integration with Exchange (which will eventually come to the iPhone) the numbers already prove there is NO COMPETITION.
