One thing I miss about Windows Mobile is Voice Command. It not only allows a great deal of control over the device with voice but it can also announce callers by name so long as they are in your address book.

Not so with the iPhone… until now.

Kevin Tofel over at jkontherun just shared a great hack from Steve Rubel . Using GarageBand, which as of last week can be used to create original ringtones, you simply record the name of a frequent caller. Attach it to that particular contact’s name (or you can record any message you want for that matter) and… there you go…

As Kevin put it… "why didn’t I think of that".
