Looks like one of the monster PC games of all time may be coming to your iPhone soon. TUAW has a video demo of the current (not yet playable) version of Doom for iPhone up.
It would be pretty awesome to see Doom on the multitouch interface – seems like it should lend itself to it quite well.
Doom for iPhone is currently being developed by Stephen T a.k.a. psychochromatic. No word yet on when it may be available, but TUAW does say that:
"Psycho says that this build is not quite playable yet, but he’s got it faster than ever and working in widescreen mode."
