Similar to Goosync, except we implemented the Exchange sync protocol, which the 2.0 iPhone has built in, rather than SyncML (which isn’t built in). So no software to install on the device : just configure its ‘Exchange’ client to point to Nuevasync and you’re done.

http://tinyurl.com/283djz
There is at least one user in there with same or similar issue to yours, though sadly no resolution as far as I can see.
I mention it because one of the guys from Nexthaus – LouN – was at least trying to provide answers there for a while. Not so much lately, but perhaps another user reporting same time issue may help get him back on the case …

Events entered from an iPhone appear in Google Calendar a off by one hour when synced via SyncJe. Is anyone experiencing this?

The setup went fine for SyncJe on the iPhone and GooSync and the two way sync seems to be ocurring OK too, though he is reporting that events entered from his iPhone appear in Google Calendar a off by one hour.  In addition, updates to events changed on his iPhone are not reflected in Google Calendar.  Thus, if he changes a time for an event on his phone, it does not change in Google Calendar.

I suspect there is a daylight savings time issue with SyncJe since he is in EST and we changed to DST on 3/8/08 ahead of the Europe change on 3/30/08, since his iPhone and PC are set to the correct time. It appears there are reports of Daylight Savings Time issues – http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?p=241333 though I haven’t been able to confirm this.

I’m not sure why the changed events are not syncing since the 2-way syncs are occurring as requested and no errors are being reported by GooSync.

I contacted SyncJe tech support with the problems and asked if there would be an update to fix the DST issue and they replied “…We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are not authorized to provide such kind of information. In order to complete your request we suggest you to use the following link http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/ . In case if iPhone time has been verified as correct, we suggest you to contact Google support in order to resolve the issue.”

I also contacted GooSync support and have not received a reply.

If anyone has any suggestions, thoughts or has experienced any of these issues, I’d appreciate your input.

Thx –

Guy

Standard file permissions fix does not work. I hope Lou, from Nexthaus who make the app, may check in here and have a suggestion – he has done in the past.
Otherwise, I know there are several threads on SyncJe at the ModMyiFone forums …

It installs ok on the iPhone and starts, but quickly crashes and sends me back to the springboard.

I have a 1.1.2 OTB iPhone and upgraded to 1.1.3 through iTunes and then used Ziphone to activate, unlock and jailbreak. Any ideas?

Make sure you aren’t using your name, but the username you submitted to them. For example – The full name I gave them was Brandon Steili. But the name I had to enter in the registration thing was ‘Netsyd’… the username I signed up with.

@parterburn – The joys of not using Feedburner. I keep trying to kick Patrick off of administering the websites… but he keeps winning the “king of the hill” battle.

@Patrick – FEEDBURNER!!! 🙂 The feed does look a little odd.

@LouN – Thank You! and the rest of the SyncJe team. I’ve been crying for wireless GCal Sync since day 1. I would assume you’re going to do what you can to follow the SDK and get Apple to approve the app? (assuming that’s how they are going to do it)

I e-mailed their support team so hopefully I’ll be able to get some assistance. Thanks for the help though.

I was wondering the same thing and I just saw that button.

@patrick: you might check out your feed – it looks a little funny without any formatting, the copyright on top, and the url of the post in the body (you can click on the title to get to the post).

The rest of the SyncJe apps have it, and the iPhone will shortly…

I think ti is just manual sync for now, I have not seen any scheduling options. Not sure what’s up with the registration stuff – you should maybe ask LouN (one of the developers) at this MMI thread:

Thanks a lot! I got it all set up… do I have hit sync every time I want it to sync? Also, I tried registering it with the information they gave me, but it still says I only have 15 days left of my trial period.

Then enter these details in SyncJe:
URL: http://sync.goosync.com
username: goosync username
password: goosync password
Turn contacts off
For Calendar, the folder name is “Calendar” without the quotes
Sane those settings and go back to its main screen an hit sync – you should see authenticating message, the syncing status.
Hope that helps …
