No, this isn’t a joke. I just read about this over at our friends at TUAW.

Turns out that Erica Sadun has come up with a hack called Listen that will allow you to identify almost any song. Simply activate the hack, hold the iPhone up to the speakers, and after some waiting… Voila, the song information is displayed for you (song, artist and album!).

Haven’t tried it out yet, but am looking forward to. Should be interesting to see just how well it works. Erica says that the hack is ‘very beta’, so don’t be upset if you find some glitches.
