The SDK is coming… The SDK is coming…
What will it change for you?
Although it feels like forever, the release of the SDK for the iPhone/iPod Touch (and hopefully some sort of mini-tablet-esque thing) is getting closer. The ability to put 3rd party apps on your iP
hone with Apple’s blessing means the potential desire to carry a whole lot more on your iPhone than before. Will 8gb be enough? As it is, the 4gb version only lasted a couple of months and, had a 16gb version already been available I suspect the 8gb version we all love would have suffered a similar fate.
The announcement of a 16gb iPhone at next week’s MacWorld by Sir Steve would certainly be helpful as we put more and more on our iPhones. So my question is this:
If the 16gb iPhone is announced next week and the 3g version is still 6-12 months away would you consider upgrading your current iPhone and sending it for a trip down eBay-lane or will you wait?
(Unrelated side comment– since the SDK will allow the creation of Apple-sanctioned 3rd party apps are they still 3rd party or maybe actually 2.5 party apps??)
