That happens a lot with the Treo browser being forced to WAP sites, even though it is able to render most regular pages just fine.

Couldn’t agree more. I love having the option to choose whether I want the full version or the optimized one. Sure, if you want the full version when an optimized site is available it takes a few steps to get there, but it is worth it to have the choice.

The optimized sites (at least the ones that are well designed) are so much easier to use from an iPhone and they help overcome the speed limitation of Edge. Good examples of this are what Google and Amazon have done.
