A blogger called Michael Calore on the Wired Blog Network has a post up with a title that I never thought I’d see:  ‘5 Reasons Why You’d Want Internet Explorer on the iPhone’.

The post seems at least partly tongue-in-cheek, as there are only 3 reasons offered up – he can’t make it to 5?  But … his reasons offered seem to be offered seriously.

As you might expect, there are some pretty choice reactions in the comments and in quotes from other blogs / sites.

Personally, I’d agree with the post’s author that the SDK may well bring some other browser options for the iPhone.  Firefox would be interesting to see, at least for me as its my preferred desktop browser. But IE.  I hate IE and just about never run it on the desktop, and just cannot imagine ever wanting to see it on the iPhone, for any reason, under any circumstances.   Firefox might be interesting to see, but IE no thanks, really.
