Macworld banners started going up at the Moscone South today, mysteriously pronouncing: "There’s Something in the Air."
And pretty much as soon as that banner was spotted and displayed on the web, the guessing game plot has thickened. All the Macworld 2008 predictions and guessing can now take a new slant, and try to figure out what the slogan is alluding to.
I’ve seen some suggest something WiMax related, streaming wireless content, purchasing songs over AT&T’s network, and others.
I can honestly say I haven’t got a clue what’s the most likely – but I do have a favorite (in terms of preference, not odds) that the guys at The Apple Core put forward – wireless sync and Over-The-Air software installs, a la Installer.
As the ZDNet guys point out, Nullriver is already doing it with Installer.app – why should post-SDK install routines be *less* slick. Who knows, hopefully / maybe Apple has even worked with Nullriver on something???
What do you all reckon of the strap-line? Got any air-related predictions you want to air???
