The Maps Locating Function is amazing.
Note – the TV show Moonlight showed the main characters locating a kidnapped individual using the built in GPS on his cell phone. Problem was – the phone was an iPhone. Oooops! Someone isn’t doing their homework! It isn’t as bad as holding the iPhone upside down but still … gimme a break!
I have had two different stand-alone GPS systems. They worked but I never really liked using them. When I got the iPhone I started using the mapping program more than my GPS although it did not access specific locations. The Location Function overcomes this limitation and makes the iPhone a pretty darn amazing GPS!!
Films on the iPhone – chapter markers for films and the ability to access alternate language chapters.
Music- Using the new lyrics function in iTunes also enables lyrics overlayed over the album art while it plays.
I do feel badly for the owners of the iPod Touch. When people spent hundreds of dollars on a device just months ago it seems a little nickel and dime-ing to charge $20 for the new apps. Not a smart move!
Love the new movie rental model and the fact that I can get them on my iPhone. Nice!!!!
