However, once that passed I was left with the thought “what is the point in that laptop?”.

For $1800, I get a laptop that is for all purposes the same length and width as a macbook with less power across the board. The only difference is it is thinner, and has longer battery life, and fewer ports. Why would I spend more money on it?

As for the keynote, it was the first one I enjoyed in at least a year. But the coolest part, I connected my laptop to my HD TV, and the streaming webcast fillld the screen… not in HD, but standard definition in wide screen. It never once stopped to buffer either. Apple’s ability to do that is just amazing.

The one thing I am fascinated by is the Apple TV however. The Movie rentals sold it for me, and once its availlble in Canada and actually has the movies released on the same dates as the US I will buy myself one. But in the meantime I plan to buy 2 .. 1 for my mom and 1 for my mother in law for the FLickr Integration.. Now with 3 clicks of the remote (1. Photos, 2. Flickr, 3. Album on Flickr) they can keep up with the latest pictures of their baby grandson.

The MacBook Air though… I hope just floats away in the near future

Reminds me of 2004 and 2003 and 2002!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However:

In the keynote ? He looks thin, (his face) your Impressions:?
