I’m actually thinking of buying 3 of them, one for myself to fully use as is (without being tempted to hack it like I previously was), and 2 (one each) for my mom and mother in law for them to via my Flickr feed of my baby boy. I’ve tried making it simple for them to keep up to date on the pictures via a blog which pulls the pictures to it automatically.. all they had to do was go to the website and enter their password. And a simple Flickr feed set as their homepage on IE with login information saved. Neither method worked because they were forced to use a computer.

But now with the Flickr feed option in the Apple TV, viewing their grandsons’ photos is a mere 3 clicks – 1) pictures 2) Flickr 3)Feed of photos. Wow, that’s all I have to say in that sense. I hope it actually works.

And for my own Apple TV, the movie rentals is what has me excited. The day movie rentals fully works in Canada, I’m buying all 3 Apple TVs. I doubt one person will make a difference in Apple caring about their products outside of the US (that’ll be a first for Apple), but I’m sure there are many more like me who simply want compatibility (full compatibility and features) in a county outside of the US.

Other than that, nothing excited me. the iPhone updates are simply features other Smart Phones have already had. All Apple has on the other Smartphones on the market is its light weight, and an “apple” like interface. Other than that, I’ve had all the features the iPhone has on my Treo for many years.
