That was Steve Jobs’ reply when told by a CNBC reporter that Robbie Bach (head of Microsoft’s division in charge of Windows Mobile, Zune etc.) had told the same reporter that he was "particularly optimistic about the new Zune … that it was now a worthy alternative to Apple’s iPod."
Ouch. Steve is really not pulling his punches this week. He’s also trashed the Amazon Kindle the other day, saying the whole concept is flawed because people don’t read anymore.
Maybe they should swap Steve into those ‘Mac vs. PC" ads – instead of having the (supposedly) cool, laid-back Mac guy. They could freshen it up a bit – and have Steve just get in there and savage Vista, Zune, Amazon Kindles, early adopters of iPhone and the iPod Touch, and even the poor old PC bloke …
