I just bought a MBP 2 days ago and I love it. MBA are so thin that you would have to buy a seperate driver for it, especially if you want to watch DVDs or listen to CDs. Its a nice laptop and I wanted one at first, but the tech guru at my university told me they aren’t very reliable. I needed something with some power anyway.

I’m starting a graphic design course at college in September and want to have mastered the feel of it by then.

Thanks for posting here! I appreciate that! I agree with you! The price tag is EXTREMELY high!
I really like what you said that “I’d buy a MacBook over a MacBook Air anyday”. I would do the same!
In my opinion, I’d rather wait in order to buy a new macbook air. I hope the price tag will go down, as it happened with the iPhone.
Cheers,
Mike

On the negative side, the specs are too low and the price too high, simply for having something very skinny. I’d buy a MacBook over a MacBook Air anyday. Its not enough of an improvement to justify the almost double price tag. I hope the product fails so Apple goes back to the drawing board on this one.
