Not surprisingly, some of the coolest native apps for the iPhone so far have involved music and the touchscreen. PocketGuitar sounds like another one to add to the list.
PocketGuitar is a ‘virtual guitar’ for the iPhone and iPod Touch – which lets the iPhone act as a touchscreen guitar. It will even let you strum along with songs you’ve got stored on your device.
PocketGuitar has just been launched, by Shinya Kasatani. It’s available on Installer now, but you’ll need to add its Installer source, like so:
- In Installer tap Sources on the bottom row
- Tap ‘Edit’ at the top right of the Sources screen
- Tap ‘Add’ at the top left of the Edit screen
- Enter this URL: http://podmap.net/apps – and hit OK
- Tap ‘Done’ and hit ‘Refresh’ at top left
- Now you should see Show Time under the Toys category
