Etymotic Launches New Wired and BT Headsets for iPhone

Etymotic Research – self-styled ‘world leaders of in-ear technology’ – launched two new headsets at Macworld made specifically for the iPhone – one wired and one Bluetooth. hf2_earphones_mic_plug

The etyBLU BT headset is an in-ear style earphone, that also comes with an attachable noise-cancelling boom mic to help with clearer call quality (pictured above).  The etyBLU goes for $129.

The HF2 is a wired earphone that offers the OEM-like ability to answer calls and control iPod functions, and fits in the recessed headset jack on the iPhone. These go for $179 and Etymotic claims these have the ‘highest noise isolation of all competing headsets’.

Both of these look quite good, and Dan has recently raved about Etymotic’s 6i Isolator earphones – so we’ll do our best to get some review units on these and give them a tryout.  More details on each can be found at:
