Seems the movie studios are catching on as quickly as anyone to the impact of the iPhone on web browsing. Jumper is now the second movie that I’ve seen with an iPhone optimized site, and I’m not even looking for them!
This looks like it will be a growing trend, if all the stats on iPhone’s browser market share and how much all of us love using our iPhone to surf with keep heading in the same Up, Up, Up direction. Movie studios and lots of others will keep rolling out these sites, and working harder at producing some good-looking sites as well.
I’d never heard of Jumper before spotting its iPhone site, but the synopsis and trailer look quite good. The Jumper site offers a very similar look and set of features to the ‘I Am Legend’ site that we posted about last month. So there are sections for: trailer, synopsis, characters, and more, as shown in the screencap above. The Extras section offers a good set of iPhone wallpapers to choose from (you need to download these on your Mac or PC and sync).
