Pairs – Fun Flickr-Based Memory Matching Game

Pairs is a fun new web-based memory matching game that lets you pick from just about any content at all on Flickr to create your sets to do your matching with.
You can choose from latest photos, or based on interestingness or the week’s most popular tags – so the MacBook Air showed up for me in the screencap on the left.
The best level of choice though is that you can just search any keyword in Flickr and use your favorite result to start matching with. A search for ‘tiger’ for instance would let you jump off into games matching anything from detroit Tigers images to some stunning pics of White Tigers. You can also save photosets to return to later on.
I think this is a simple and nicely done web game. Give it a try at:

Is there any way to put website links on the springboard in a jailbroken 1.1.2 iphone?
hseplow – you could try iPhone Apper. Looks like it should do the job. I’ve never tried it, but remembered seeing it a while back. It’s at:

Thanks Patrick, that looks to be exactly what I’m looking for. However, I’m not quite sure what to do once I have the .app file from iPhone Apper. I’m on a PC and don’t know how to get to the applications folder.
OK – glad that looks helpful. To get to the /Applications folder you need to make sure you have OpenSSH installed on your iPhone – you should see it under Network or System category in Installer (can’t recall which). Then grab an app like Putty or (my preference) WinSCP for your PC. Then do this:
– Check your current IP address on the iPhone, via Settings > WiFi > click on the little blue arrow next to your network you’re connected to – make a note of the IP address as you’ll need it to connect via WinSCP.
– launch WinSCP and enter the iPhone IP address in the host name field, for username and password enter root and alpine, then switch the File Protocol drop-down to SCP – and connect.
– You’ll get a confirmation message to do with key creation, just say Yes to it
– Then you should connect and see an Explorer-like view – with the iPhone’s file structure in the right-hand pane of the window
– You may need to go up a couple levels to see the /Applications folder
Hope that helps …
Thanks again Patrick, but for some reason when I copy the .app file into the applications folder the application doesn’t show up on the phone. Do I have to do anything more than resetting it by holding the power and home button?
That should be all that’s needed, from what the iPhone Apper page says. Did that give you a file or a folder with a name ending in .app?
It gives me a file ending in .app. I then just copy it into the application folder and hold the power and home keys on my phone until it resets, and it doesn’t appear on the springboard. Do I have to change permissions or something? Might I have to delete icons so that my .app file has room to appear in the first springboard? I’ve tried it with a bunch of different websites and .png images too, I’m not sure why this isn’t working…
Hmmm, does your Springboard not scroll through multiple home screens? Are you using Summerboard. I don’t think this is a permissions thing, as in that case you would see the icon, but the app would fail to launch.
