My brand new Leopard 10.5.1 iMac C2D is still far less responsive than my sons 3 year old XP HP laptop. Some times I have to click three or four times on a window to get its attention.

Stacks are stupid. I would like to put real folders in the Dock like Tiger. Don’t these people notice that the screens are wider than they are tall. Having HUGE dock at the bottom is consumes a lot of screen real estate. Mine’s on the side of course and we all know what the stack would look like dangling limply from there.

Coverflow in finder would be more helpful if ALL of the icons automatically had previews. My Leopard doesn’t, particularly pictures – I just get a jpeg icon. Huh? What did I miss here. There’s nothing as bad as something good done half-assed.

Time Machine doesn’t make much sense. In Thunderbird for example, each folder in your Inbox (including Send, Trash, etc.) are individual files. If you do a lot of email then TM will be having a field day making backup copies of your email files. Duh?

To get a STABLE version of the operating system is almost as exciting as getting a new version … I remember that with Tiger it took almost up to version 5 to have the major bugs under control and have a truely enjoyable system… hope the leopard does it in two 😉
