Google Boss Loves His iPhone

For a company that is busy building its own cellphone operating system, Google shared a lot of love for the iPhone on its earnings-related conference call today.

We’ve had plenty of evidence in recent months that Google’GoogMap2s development team loves the iPhone, with their frequent updates to their iPhone-specific web apps like Google Reader and Gmail and all their mobile versions, as well as with the new Locate Me feature in the latest firmware.

Now  it’s nice to hear that even their top-man actually carries one too!

The New York Times has a nice article up on Sergey Brin’s iPhone adventures on a recent trip to Switzerland, as well as all that iPhone love expressed on the earnings call.

“I was at a conference in Switzerland,” he said, presumably referring to the World Economic Forum conference in Davos. “I was able to find a really small hotel, then switch over to the satellite view on my phone to figure out I needed to take a funicular to get up there. It was a really amazing experience.”

Brin is the co-founder and Co-President of Google.  Somehow I don’t picture Steve Jobs carrying a Google / Android phone when they hit the market later this year …
