Great way to pull in people who had been waiting on increased functionality but what a way to piss off your loyal early adopters. ANY delay at all will really upset me as I switched back to the iPhone in anticipation of 3rd party apps. And I have no interest (yet) in jailbreaking my phone or any of the apps that aren’t supported by Apple. However, that may change.

I agree – I think it will be very embarrassing for Apple if they don’t release the SDK as promised this month. I think there are a lot of people (including me!) who are really looking forward to additional functionality and features for their iPhones and delaying this will make Apple fall further behind the competition as they work to provide good alternatives to the iPhone, and possibly affect future sales of the iPhone…
