1.1.3 Firmware is still relatively new, however we’re already reading rumors and hearsay about the release of 1.1.4 in the near future.
This is all well and good… More important than 1.1.4 (to me at least) is the soon to be released iPhone SDK. Perhaps 1.1.4 will accompany this… But we’ll have to wait to find out for sure.
Most of the 1.1.4 speculation is revolving around 3rd party iPhone app developer Tiny Code. They’ve recently pulled their apps from installer.app due to ‘legal reasons’. Their site was also updated with this message:
“Tiny Code no longer produces fixes or applications for firmware 1.1.3. We can’t say much, but we are working with Apple and with their SDK for the next firmware release and SDK applications and we shouldn’t be missed for long. We will no longer update our Installer.app repo for legality reasons and you should see us soon on iTunes.”
Something has to be up here. As you’ll notice, the Tiny Code website now redirects to the iPhone Dev Center.
