Rumor: BlackBerry Desktop Manager Coming to the Mac?

BlackBerry Desktop Manager Coming to the Mac?Our friends over at CrackBerry.com posted this interesting rumor today regarding a new version of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for the Mac. For those of you that opt for a Berry instead of an iPhone, this is potentially good news!

The rumor started in the CrackBerry forums with the following post:

RIM working on a program for Mac users
Hi all. Spoke to a T-mobile BB rep yesterday and he told me that the BB rep was just in there and let them know that RIM is working on a new Desktop Manager for Mac. Finally!! Also, he doesn’t know when it will be ready, but RIM feels that more people are going toward the Mac and so they feel it’s worth it to come up with a DM for the Mac. Let’s hope it’s for real!!”

I have to say, I hope this rumor is true. A BlackBerry Desktop Manager for the mac has been a long time coming. I know a lot of people that carry a BlackBerry and want to slip into a new MacBook or MBP, but haven’t due to the fact that there is no BB Desktop Manager available for the mac. For the longest time all mac users have been able to do is sync their BlackBerry with their mac via solutions like PocketMac. But with the new Desktop Manager Software (if this is true!) users will be able to install new apps, manage their berry and much more right from their mac desktop.
