If you haven’t installed the latest keyboard firmware upgrade from Apple, you can do so by clicking here. The official line from Apple:
‘This MacBook and MacBook Pro firmware update addresses an issue where the first key press may be ignored if the computer has been sitting idle. It also addresses some other issues’
A small upgrade, but I know this was a nagging problem for some.
On a lighter note, Jacqui Cheng over at ars technica has confirmed some strange but true trivia regarding this update. Seems as though song lyrics and a quote from George Orwell’s ‘1984′ have been embedded in the HIDFirmwareUpdateTool. Strange indeed. Looks to me like the Apple Engineers were simply having some fun here. Read more about this here.
