I love listening to podcasts on my iPhone. I pop my iPhone into its cradle, sync it with iTunes and I am good to go… unless… I forget to sync it. If that happens, which it often does, I need to go on the hunt for the URL in order to stream the program I want. Yes, it is possible to find the URL and stream. It works, but it is a royal pain in the neck.
That’s why Alex Sokirynsky’s new Web App- Podcaster is such a great new addition to the iPhone universe.

Podcaster is a web-based application that allows streaming of most audio and video podcasts without needed to be within 100 miles of iTunes. (It even works if you are 101 miles from it!!)

The interface is simple and easy to use. There is an option to import your existing iTunes podcast playlist. It not only works great over wifi but Edge even works rather smoothly. And it is free.
You can check it out here. It is definitely worth a look.
Thanks to Kevin Tofel at jkOnTheRun for the headsup!
