These pouch style iPhone cases caught my attention because they’re so different to the majority of cases you tend to see right now – minimal skins and leather holsters and all the rest.
They’re made from 100% wool felt and aniline leather – by a company called Working Class Heroes (cool name) based in Vienna, Austria and founded by James Teal. Teal says he and his partner were inspired by the past "when handcrafted items were almost an everyday commodity."
Their are 3 models of this line of cases – the ‘Hold’ model pictured above, a ‘Multi’ which has an extra pocket for credit cards, and one called ‘Hip’ that includes a belt loop. The first two go for $51, and the last one with belt loop is $66. That’s a little steeper than I imagined these being on first seeing them, but not outrageous.
