I received an interesting email from Apple this afternoon notifying me that the Aperture World Tour will be trotting its way across Canada in April. I’m assuming I received this email because I’m Canadian… the tour already started on March 5th in Atlanta and Tokyo.
I’m particularly tickled about this one because the Aperture World Tour will actually be stopping in our home town of Winnipeg on April 29th. In fact, Winnipeg is the last stop on the long tour. The world tour will also be stopping in a few other Canadian cities; Toronto (March 20th), Edmonton (April 8th), Vancouver (April 10th), Calgary (April 14th) and Montreal (April 23rd).
During the event, Apple experts will demonstrate a variety of new features to Aperture 2 including:
- A new All-in-one Inspector
- Viewer Only mode
- Quick Preview mode
- Project skimming in All Projects view
They will also demonstrate how-to:
- Instantly publish photos to a .Mac Web Gallery
- Design and order beautiful custom books
- Use third-party plug-ins to export photos to service bureaus, photo-sharing sites, and commercial sites
- Access your Aperture library from within iLife, iWork, and Leopard Mail
- Sync photos to iPod and Apple TV
Looks interesting. I’m already registered for the event in Winnipeg. For more information on tour dates… and to register (it’s free) click here.
