CNET has always been a great souce of techie info and reviews of all the latest gadgets.  I don’t visit it as often as I used to or as often as I’d like, but that may change a bit now, as they’ve brought out an iPhone optimized version of their site, and it looks quite good.

Just as you’d expect, you can read blog posts and news stories from CNET as well as Crave, browse through reviews by category, and check out CNET TV for a further look at hot gadgets via their First Look from the Labs, Editor’s Choice, and other familiar channels. The TV videos play right in the Safari QuickTime player.

The site’s layout is well done, with a good balance between graphics and text, and easy layouts on all the sections.  The product review pages are especially good – giving you an excellent and quick rundown on whichever gadget you’re having a look at.

For those of you who really much prefer to see ‘full’ versions of sites, there is an easy link at the bottom of each page that lets you toggle between Mobile and Classic (full) view – and yes it has an OK-looking webclip icon.

You can give CNET’s iPhone version a look via the link below, and let us know what you think …
