Pianist – the iPhone virtual keyboard application – has been updated tonight, to Version 2.0. The biggest addition to this new version is that the app will now record while you play – and when you play the recording back you can join in and play new notes as it plays.
If you haven’t seen Pianist yet, here’s a quick list of its main features:
* A complete four octave keyboard. iano3
* Multi-touch. Up to 5 keys can be pressed at once allowing complex chords.
* Sounds like a real piano with realistic piano multi-samples.
* Animated piano keys react to your touch.
* Play along to all your MP3s.
* On-screen keyboard navigation allows you to easily move up and down by octaves or "part octaves"
It’s part of Moo Cow Music’s series of ‘virtual instrument’ sort of programs, which now also includes the Drummer and Guitarist apps.
The new version of Pianist is available in Installer now.
