QUite honestly, I never thought to use it as you descirbed in your post, but its exactly what I need now that I’ve switched from DSL to Cable modem.

I used to have the DSL in my office, which worked great b/c everything is in my office (server, desktop, network printers). Now that I”m on Cable, my jack is in the kitchen (the only jack in the condo, go figure), and I dont have network access in my office except wifi.

HOpefully this is the exact solution I need. I’ll try it out tonight.

I have used a pair of Express’s on and off for the last few years and like you have tried and used them successfully in a variety of network configurations including as a wireless network extender.

I had not had any problems with mine then suddenly about a month ago it just failed out of the blue, so I think reports of failures are possibly valid. I havent replaced since mine died, though had been looking at the new 80.11n version.

Cheers
